EcoUrban - Demetria Christo

Demetria 's eight summers of experimental design, laboratory and field experience at the Virginia Institute of Marine Science led to her current application of science to EcoUrban's landscaping and soil production.

Seeking ways to catalyze green recovery efforts post-Katrina, Demetria joined Creative Industry, a media and public relations firm to became Account Executive of numerous organizations including America’s WETLAND, the New Orleans Botanical Garden, the Downtown Neighborhoods Improvement Association, and Global Green USA.

Springboarding into action, Travis and Demetria co-founded EcoUrban to actively reconstruct a sustainable urban environment here in New Orleans—one yard at a time!


	Demetria Christo, New Orleans born, Virginia-raised, earned her B.S. from the Tulane University School of Science and Engineering, with a major in Ecology, Evolutionary Biology.
